BACP ACCREDITED SERVICE
Lewis Psychology is a multi award winning business and the only organisation in Wolverhampton to gain service accreditation status with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). BACP Service Accreditation demands the highest standards of practice in the counselling and psychotherapy profession and is considered by many to be the highest honour in the field.
BACP Service Accreditation helps the public and practitioners identify services providing a high standard of counselling and psychotherapy. It sets the standard to which all counselling and psychotherapy services can aspire to and demonstrates a commitment to excellence.

We are based in a prominent location on the A41 Tettenhall Road within the established office quarter of Wolverhampton. We are approximately 1 mile north west of Wolverhampton city centre, Junction 10 of the M6 motorway is approximately 6.4 miles east and Junction 2 of the M54 motorway 4.5 miles north.
We are approximately a half a mile from Wolverhampton city centre and across the road from the Shell garage and Abbeyfield care home.
If travelling by bus then take the Tettenhall bus (number one) from Wolverhampton bus station, which leaves every 5 minutes during the day and stops directly outside Abbeyfield care home. Lewis Psychology is directly across the road.
There is a free onsite carpark at the front and rear of the building.

Training, qualifications & experience
All Lewis Psychology practitioners have been awarded professional recognition with their respective professional bodies such as the British Psychological Society (BPS), Health Professions Council (HPC) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means that your selection of a counsellor or psychotherapist can be based on an informed choice rather than speculation.
Teresa Lewis is the founder and Director of Lewis Psychology and a Senior Accredited psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Snr. Accred). During her 22 years of active clinical practice Teresa has completed over 15,000 therapy sessions and has successfully dealt with a wide range of issues from anger management to health anxiety. Teresa holds a masters degree in counselling and psychotherapy and is a qualified EMDR Practitioner having completed training accredited with EMDR Europe. Teresa is a trained adult educator and has lectured extensively in the field of counselling and psychotherapy, she is also an Accredited mindfulness teacher.
Paul is an Accredited clinical hypnotherapist with The National Hypnotherapy Society (MHS Acc) and has been awarded Advanced Practitioner (ADPR) status by the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). As Wolverhampton's only GHR validated Advanced Hypnotherapy Practitioner, Paul has a substantial breadth and depth of knowledge in many areas of psychotherapy and hypnosis including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling and neuro linguistic programming (NLP). Paul is also a certified coach having gained full registration status with the respected Association for Coaching (MAC). Paul has built a reputation as an innovative and creative practitioner working across a broad range of areas.
Deborah Pinchen is both Registered and Accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP Accred). She has worked with clients across the adult lifespan, with a broad spectrum of emotional and interpersonal difficulties. Deborah has experience of providing both brief and longer term counselling and psychotherapy within a variety of professional settings including the NHS, charities and private practice. Such a varied background has informed Deborah’s philosophy of clinical practice and she adopts an integrative way of working based on clinically tested psychological treatments including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR).
Taljeet is Registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She has a degree in psychology and a BACP Accredited masters degree in counselling psychology. Taljeet is also a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GNR). Taljeet aims to reflect the humanistic values of counselling psychology, together with its emphasis on personal meaning and relational understanding. Taljeet works within an integrative framework. She draws upon her experience and training in person-centred therapy, hypnotherapy and third wave cognitive behavioural approaches especially mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT).
Prianca is registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She has a degree in psychology and a BACP accredited masters degree in counselling. She is currently completing her doctorate in counselling psychology and is registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Prianca has worked within different professional settings, including community projects, charities, private practice and schools, providing both brief and long term therapeutic interventions. Prianca draws upon her training in humanistic, cognitive behavioural (CBT) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) approaches, to tailor therapeutic plans to the unique needs of the individual.
Sarah is Registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and has a BACP Accredited masters degree in counselling psychology. She has experience of working on large scale employee assistance contracts and in private practice at Lewis Psychology. Sarah has worked with people with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, panic, childhood abuse, trauma, loss and relationship problems. She is able to offer both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy, taking into account the nature of clients' concerns and needs. Sarah is an integrative practitioner meaning she is able to draw on her knowledge of cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and humanistic approaches.
