Hello, my name is Lesley, I am an experienced and professionally accredited qualified Integrative Counsellor / psychotherapist / Supervisor for Counsellors & Psychotherapists and a Personal Life Coach. I am a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). and  NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society )

I am committed to working within their ethical principles and I regularly attend courses to enhance my personal development and keep abreast of an ever-changing environment.

I have experience in working with clients to explore and overcome depression, emotional upset, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, victims of suicide, drug and alcohol addictions, anxiety, domestic violence, stress, panic attacks, couples, relationship difficulties, children/adults of divorced parents, low self-esteem, anger, guilt, rejection, emptiness, loneliness, loss of identity and terminal illness. Bereavement – can include any of the above as well as, learning to rediscover the ‘self’, manage and understand your loss, readjust one’s life and to reduce the short or long-term effects of unresolved grief, to name but a few.

In order to provide a good service to you, it necessitates for me to understand your individual needs with that you may be facing, as well as considering your circumstances of disability, culture, social inclusion and employment/unemployment from your perspective.  I view every human being as a unique individual, and, I approach you as such, without judgment and with confidentiality, in a warm environment with freedom for you to tell your story as it is.

As an Integrative Therapist I am able to deploy a wide range of theories for addressing many different kinds of psychological distresses.  My aim is to work with you, for you to achieve your goals so you can manage or eliminate symptoms and work towards enjoying a more productive and less stressful life.

The type of therapy is subject to your presenting issues and your desired goals.  The therapy sessions offered can be short-term or long-term depending on your needs, for which may vary due to any additional issues that may evolve through your therapy.

I offer therapy on the outskirts of Maidstone Kent.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
