About me

How counselling can help you:

Counselling is an invaluable resource of support, aiming to enable you to explore your issues, develop your self-awareness and understanding, heal, and grow in a confidential, non-judgemental, accepting space. The positive outcomes of counselling can be transformational. Some people find that they only need a few sessions, however, some choose to have more. I am happy to work in both the long and short term depending on what’s best for you. I'm experienced in supporting clients with a wide range of personal issues.

My areas of specialism include:

  • Personal development and Developing self-awareness
  • Addiction
  • Depression
  • Anxiety disorders - Social Anxiety / Panic Disorder / Generalised Anxiety Disorder
  • Low confidence and self-esteem
  • Bereavement
  • Body dimorphism
  • Anger issues

However, I am happy to work with any other issues you bring along to counselling.

Call or email for a no-obligational discussion to see if counselling could benefit you (email and contact number above). I am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

How I work:

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and work in an eclectic way, and am able to adapt my approach according to your needs. I use many theories to inform my knowledge and understanding, such as: Focusing, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Compassion Based Therapy.

I focus my practice on providing you with a safe, accepting, non-judgmental, respectful space in which you can feel free to explore your personal issues.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Person Centred Counselling awarded from the University of East Anglia and the University of Essex.  I am a registered Member of the British Association in Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working towards accreditation, which means I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I regularly participate in further training for professional development, and also invest in my personal development to enhance my practice and skills, and I attend regular counselling supervision.

I also have:
