About me
At some time or another, most, if not all of us, might need additional help in dealing with the difficulties that life can bring. I offer an empathetic and non-judgmental space from which I can help clients understand what has brought them to where they are now as well as facilitating a shift towards a more preferred present and future. My approach focuses very much on your innate strengths and how to build on these whilst also acknowledging the past.
I started working as a Psychologist in the NHS in 2009 and qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2014. My doctoral training equipped me with skills in a variety of therapeutic approaches and I work using an integrative approach to provide therapy that fits with the client. I have met with many different people from all walks of life and people experiencing a range of difficulties. I have worked with children and adolescents, adults, older adults, those with learning disabilities, with individuals as well as groups. I also have a particular interest in working with people with chronic health conditions and persistent pain.
Regardless of the therapeutic model used, research suggests that the therapeutic relationship is key. I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation to give an opportunity for us to decide whether we feel we can work together.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
