Counselling is about having the space and opportunity to talk about and reflect on issues that are worrying you and restricting your choices or sense of who you are.
There are times in life when, however capable we normally are, we find ourselves less able to cope with situations and relationships. This can lead to anxiety, stress, anger or apathy.
During these times it can help to talk to someone outside of your family or friendship group in a confidential counselling setting.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental space for you to explore your issues, boost your self esteem and help you to achieve your goals in life. This can be through talking or creative expression. You don’t need to be good at art to work creatively in counselling, just curious about what you may create if you choose to work with the materials. I work with adults, teenagers and children over seven. (see my website for more details!)
Counselling sessions take place in a peaceful and private space in Horsham. Ten minutes walk from the station or free parking available. I am within easy reach of the A264, the A24 and the A281, Crawley, Dorking, Guildford.

What to expect in the first session
During an initial session I would like to hear as much as you feel able to share about your reasons for seeking counselling. I would encourage you to go at your own pace and to feel comfortable.
My role is to understand where you are coming from and how we could best work together and what you would like to gain from counselling.
If you feel after the initial session that you would like to try counselling we will agree a regular day and time. Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly depending on what feels right for you. If you feel counselling is not for you, there is no obligation to continue.
