About me

Hello and welcome to my page, you've taken the first step towards change and I appreciate this can be a daunting step to make. I believe finding the right counsellor for you is of the utmost importance as is working at your own pace, where you can explore your current situation and the choices open to you.

Together we can start your journey where you are able to be heard which is important, I aim to create an environment where you feel both safe and supported.

I work within a humanistic way which means that I come from a place of believing that any issues you are currently facing can affect your whole existence. I work in a way that respects your freedom and choice and focuses on how you are feeling in the here and now, whilst also understanding that the past and future are a part of your existence.

I offer One to One and Couples counselling sessions in my therapy room at home in my garden, which is quiet and tranquil.

I have experience of working with clients either short term or long term so together we will find which method suits your personal needs.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
