45 Central Street
Have you ever woken up in the morning and not wanting to go to work or do your daily routine because the thought of another day ahead of you was unbearable and the only way to get through the day was to put a mask and pretend that everything was fine while suffering inside?
Have you ever felt empty and depressed and could not understand why.
Have you ever thought that the world does not make sense and wondering why certain things happen to you all the time or why you attract the same people?
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and my vision is to help people live fulfilling and meaningful lives by combining traditional psychology with alternative/ holistic methods.
I offer a 2 hour free consultation with no obligation to continue with me so please give me a call or email me.
I speak both English and Greek and therefore I am happy to provide therapy in both languages.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist who has been working in the NHS and independent organisations since 2009. I am registered with the British Psychological Society (License 261550) and with the Health & Care Professions Council (License PYL29100).
I have studied for three years to obtain a BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychological Science. I then completed a Graduate Conversion Diploma in Psychology that enabled me to apply for the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DCounsPsych) which I completed successfully.
I have completed additional training in Family intervention for Psychosis, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and Compassion Focused Therapy. I have received additional training on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Counselling for bereavement and loss.
I have offered individual and group therapy both short-term and long-term to children, adolescents, and working adults experiencing various psychological difficulties e.g. depression, anxiety, emotional difficulties, high level of criticism, psychosis etc.
Over the years and various training, I learnt to work in an integrative and very relational way and my approach is individually tailored to help you make sense of your experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you.
I have also developed an interest in the body-mind relationship, and how our psychological and emotional states greatly influence the onset and passage of illness, as well as out ability to heal. Hence during the therapeutic sessions will try to understand the connection between mind and body and how it is manifested.
