About me

Hi! I am Konstandina! I am a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Psychologist, Dating and Relationship Coach. I work in private practice with individuals and couples. Both long term and short term.

I offer Counselling in English and in Greek and have been working with Online Counselling for 10 years.

I have studied Psychology and Counselling and I have 15 years of experience in the field. I am also a qualified Counsellor and Registered Member of BACP.

I understand how difficult it can feel to talk to a therapist about your struggles and desires. This can be made easier with the empathetic, caring and non-judgemental therapeutic space that I offer.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship can act as a catalyst to facilitate growth, emotional containment and change.

I am highly experienced in working with Loneliness, Dating and Relationships.

Loneliness can feel deeply excruciating as if our being is not serving its rightful purpose to be connected and instead, it is being excluded from others. A divide and separation exists where the connection would feel more aligned. A sense of isolation is often part of loneliness but there is also a kind of bitter loneliness that can be felt even when we are among other people. Together we will work on how to manage your loneliness and all the feelings, thoughts and desires it can bring up. We will also explore and understand it in order to move through it to a place where savoured solitude and connection will be more available.

Dating can sometimes feel very confusing and draining. Together we will engage in a deep exploration of your emotions, needs and desires. We will also explore important questions such as who you are, who you want to be and how others see you. These practices intend to help you face dating with renewed courage and focus on what you desire. We will also work on underlying fears and blockages that keep you from potentially enjoying dating or from co-creating the relationship that you desire.

Relationships can be the source of pleasure, connection and fulfilment. They can also be the source of pain and struggle. I can assist you in searching within you how much intimacy, how much emotional engagement, and how much time on your own you need. We can also explore and identify together which are the ways you want to express your love and which are the ways you want to receive love. Through these as well as more exploring and releasing of potential difficult emotions and experiences from the past we can together facilitate betterment in your way of relating and relationships.

I am also interested in helping you with Couples' difficulties such as breaks of communication, arguments, affairs, jealousy, incompatibility, discrepancy in values and beliefs, differences in the ways of expressing and receiving love. We will look at how you can bridge the differences or gaps between you and your partner. We will also work on understanding and identifying underlying issues, patterns and dynamics that keep you stuck in a difficult place in your relationship.

In couple's counselling we will work on expressing your needs and desires to your partner. We will understand the needs and desires of both individuals involved in the relationship and help you empathise with each other. We will also explore how traumas or hurt from the past is hindering the ways you are relating.

I work with people from all sexual orientations and cultural backgrounds.

I am also very experienced in working with Anxiety and Fear. I am passionate about helping you understand and move through your Anxiety and Fear including Generalised Anxiety, Phobias, OCD, Panic Attacks and Social Anxiety.

Anxiety can feel like a volcano building up inside us. It can erupt without notice and can make us feel exposed and vulnerable. Anxiety can also feel as if we are suffocating in a small room without much air. Fear can feel like a monster that is keeping us hidden in our closet, away from the outside world. Fear can also feel like a heavy burden that does not allow us to feel joyful, free and alive.

Anxiety and Fear can take many different forms and expressions. Sometimes they can have adverse effects on self esteem, relationships or productivity. Therapy with me will help you understand and release the underlying core issues and reasons the anxiety and fear are hindering your life. We will also work together on practical ways that you can manage your anxiety and fear symptoms.

How I can assist you:

I can offer you a weekly or fortnightly slot where you can feel accepted, understood and encouraged.

In our meetings, you will feel supported, motivated and inspired to change and grow.

I believe that there are no people that are never broken or never face any of life's difficulties. We all need help sometimes to transform our difficulties and struggles into clarity and flow.

I believe that: Our greatest work of art is our life. Create your life as you want it to be.

How are you creating your life today?

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
