I trained as an integrative counsellor with core beliefs that everyone has the ability to grow giving the right conditions, each and everyone of us can flourish and grow to reach their full potential. I provide short term and long term counselling and therapy for individuals
Counselling is a very sensitive and deep exploration of a person's inner world, it is important to relive it in a safe, secure and caring environment, I will provide this in the counselling sessions.
There are many different approaches that are offered by therapist, which can be quite confusing for clients. As an integrative counsellor, the therapy sessions in which I offer for each individual client will be different as each person's needs are different. Being an integrative therapist I draw upon many different Psychological theories and approaches.
Beginning therapy for the first time might be quite difficult. It can be a journey or a leap into the unknown. There will be many challenges, it may also be painful.
Sometimes feelings can seem unbearable and with no opportunity to process them and explore them they can become part of you, who we are and prevent us from living life to its full potential.
This may be due to what we are going through in the present or something we have experienced in the past, that we have not had the opportunity to address.
It can be difficult to talk about these feelings with family or loved one's as we may fear the consequences of what we say.
As a counsellor I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and I will provide the nourishing conditions for you to reach your full potential.
We can go through this journey together and share the experiences and life changes that will enable you to move forward.
I can offer you a helping hand to go on your journey. We can explore and examine things together, without pressure and with time to create trust and understanding.
I offer an initial assessment, for us to talk about any issues that are having an impact on your life and for us to talk through what help you may be looking for.
After the initial assessment we will discuss whether you wish to continue and start therapy. If we agree to begin therapy, we will then talk through the therapeutic contract, duration of therapy, where and when we will meet and the cost.
