About me

I am a qualified and experienced Person-Centred counsellor/psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP. You will find me listed on the accredited register of the Professional Standards Authority.

I can offer both short and longer term counselling in a safe, confidential and non judgemental environment in a GP surgery.

Counselling can help us to build a deeper understanding of ourselves and our often complicated lives. By working together we can help you move forward with increased confidence and courage to cope with difficult emotional periods in your life or give you the support needed to make changes you feel are necessary. I understand how important it is to have your own space where you can talk freely and be listened to without being judged.

I aim to work with any issue the client chooses to bring into counselling. This includes the following areas which I have extensive experience of working with:

  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Trauma including PTSD
  • Sexual/physical/emotional/financial abuse
  • Self-harm
  • Depression
  • Bereavement and complicated grief
  • Sexual identity
  • Discrimination
  • Low self esteem
  • Substance Misuse
  • Relationships
  • Loneliness
