About me

I am a qualified psychotherapist with a range of skills and experiences in which to support you.  I have over 20 years’ experience working in healthcare and health education and 14 years’ experience working as a therapist in different settings including the NHS, a hospice and occupational health teams.

I now have a private practice where I offer short term therapy, of usually 6 sessions, and longer term therapy in a calm and support environment in my private practice in Exmouth Town.

I offer therapy to adults in person or remotely either by videocall or telephone and am a member of the association of counselling online and telephone (ACTO).

I use an integrative model of psychotherapy in my work which means I am able to offer a unique blend of approaches tailored to you and your presenting issues.

I am a LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist and have worked with clients who are neurodivergent.

I offer a full 60 minutes for sessions, rather than the standard 50 minutes, which allows us more time to go into greater depth when exploring what is troubling you.

The next step is for us to have an initial consultation where we can explore what is happening for you at the moment in more depth and together decide on the best support for you.

I welcome enquiries and am happy to answer any questions or queries you might have about starting therapy with me, before taking the step to arrange an initial consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist (MA).

I have over 20 years experience working in healthcare and healthcare education before training as a psychotherapist. I have practised as a counsellor in NHS, private and voluntary organisations for over 14 years:

  • Bereavement counsellor at a local hospice
  • Counsellor for a London LBGT+ organisation
  • Counsellor in an Occupational Health department at a London Hospital
  • Honorary psychotherapist in a trauma therapy team at a local NHS service.
  • Counsellor in an Occupational Health counselling and trauma team for a large London organisation.
  • Psychological therapist in a charity for firefighters.
  • Tutor at a local college training counsellors

I have a private practice in Exmouth where I offer counselling and psychotherapy in a calm and supportive environment.
