About me

I have completed a BSc Hons in Psychology and Criminology, MSc in Forensic Psychology, PGDip in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and a PgD Practitioner Programme in Forensic Psychology. I am Currently studying to become a Doctor of Psychology.

I have over 12 years’ experience in the NHS, HMPS, private healthcare, community mental health and secure hospitals. I am a lecturer and supervisor at Hertfordshire University as well as working with mentally disordered offenders and running a successful private clinic.

I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and a range of other modalities including Mindfulness based therapy, Schema Therapy, DBT informed and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I provide an understanding setting to help you to explore your current difficulties. I am able to provide a different perspective from a non-judgemental and supportive standpoint. I can provide a safe place to discuss your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. From there we will be able to change the way you think and behave in order for you to feel in a better position to live the life you want. Every client is unique and I pride myself in assisting my clients in rejuvenating themselves and equipping them with the skills and coping strategies so they are able to face life with confidence in themselves and their abilities. Which will support you in getting back to leading a fulfilling life.

These are some of the reasons you might choose to start individual therapy:
- Depression
- Low self-esteem
- Anxiety (e.g. social anxiety and general anxiety)
- Trauma
- Sexually Compulsive Behaviour
- Substance Misuse
- Addictive Behaviour
- Stress
- Relationship difficulties
- Panic Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Anger difficulties
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Bipolar
- Phobias
- Personality Disorder
- Pain Management including physical health concerns such as IBS

As well as individual therapy I work with couples, although many of the reasons couples choose to start therapy are similar to individuals there are a range of additional difficulties such as:
- Conflict and anger
- Lack of Trust
- Difficulties in communicating
- Anxiety for one or both individuals
- Life Stress
- Addiction
- Extra-marital relationships
- Where one or both feel depressed
- Commitment decisions

I offer therapy face to face in Upminster as well as online over video calls. So please feel free to contact me so we can discuss how I can help you.I also offer supervision to trainee CBT therapists or CBT therapists with provisional or full accreditation. I am passionate about helping individuals to make changes in their life, so they are able to live the life they want or once lived. I wholeheartedly contribute to the movement of ending the stigma around mental health and making a positive difference in this world.
