Kelly Walker BA (HONS) Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy MBACP Registered
Sometimes there is a time in your life that you just need to talk to someone, someone who doesn't know you and won't judge you. At those times counselling could be what is needed. It provides a space that's yours where you can explore and express your inner thoughts and feelings in confidence and safety. It's a place you can see from a different perspective and increase your self awareness. By becoming more aware, you can increase your choices and this provides more opportunity to make change.
I understand the support that counselling provides, especially at a time when it feels as though you are struggling alone with few options. A counselling relationship is one that nurtures and promotes personal growth, offers empathy and warmth. Whatever seems to be bothering you, you will be listened to and you will have support that you need in the safe place provided.
I offer integrative therapy which is a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy, humanistic and psychodynamic.
I have experience working within probation & prison settings offering structured therapy, but also in charities that have more of a free flowing idea of therapy. I have also worked within schools using play and talking therapies. I offer both short and longer term therapy.
