Kellie Gibson Pg Dip MBACP

Counselling simply allows people to explore many aspects of their life and feelings, by talking openly and freely. Often talking in this way is difficult with family or friends. As a qualified, experienced counsellor, I work closely with clients, providing the warm, supportive and confidential environment they need to make effective decisions leading to positive changes in their lives. Over the years I have developed a successful counselling practice and had the opportunity to meet and help many amazing people.
If you are unsure about counselling and its benefits I offer a free 30 minute introductory session. This is an opportunity for you to see if you feel comfortable with me, and the way we would be working together. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about counselling, qualifications, the type of counselling I practice, days and times available, cost, and anything else you might want to know. This session is offered free of charge with no obligation to continue.
How Counselling can help.
My aim as a counsellor is to work together with clients and to try and understand their experiences, to listen in a non-judgemental way and to accept individuals as they are. My role as counsellor is not intended to be one of authority where I offer advice, but one which allows the exploration of choices and decisions which are right for you.
I also believe that to develop a trusting relationship where this exploration can occur depends on the counsellor being as honest and open as possible, and this is a quality I constantly strive to bring to the therapeutic relationship.
If you are new to counselling, unsure about what counselling is or how it might help, please contact me, I am always happy to answer any questions you might have.

"Kellie Gibson was always what I considered a natural therapist. I believe that academic training can polish a gift in the field of counselling fellow human beings. However, what is of paramount importance to excel as a counsellor is life skill, insight, intuition and the capacity to hone in to clients issues truthfully, but at the same time in a non-confrontational manner. Kellie Gibson has these traits."
