Keith Potter - BSc(Hons), PGDip & MClinSci in Psychotherapy

I am fully insured and have clinical supervision in place for my practice.
My areas of speciality
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to adults; specialising in the following areas of concern:
General anxiety and depression
Low self-esteem or a feeling that their sense of self-identity is poor or impaired
Difficulties in relating to other people
Grief, loss and bereavement
Experiencing abuse now, or who have experienced physical or sexual abuse in their childhoods
I also work with more general problems. Often, a person seeks help for a particular reason and during the therapy process other issues may surface.

Initial Consultation session - £50 for 75 minutes
Therapy sessions - £50 for 50 minutes
I also offer a number of sessions at a low cost fee for people who cannot afford the full fee. Should you feel that this applies to you, then please do mention this when you get in touch.
When you first contact me, we will discuss the problem that you are experiencing during a telephone call that will be confidential. If we feel that psychoanalytic psychotherapy could be appropriate for you, then I will invite you to attend an initial consultation session with me lasting 75 minutes.
The consultation session will also give you the opportunity to think about how you feel about working with me, as it’s important that you feel comfortable with the idea of us working together. This is because an important part of therapy is the working relationship between you and your therapist.
If we decide to work together, then we will also establish how often this will happen, and for how long.
