About me

Katrina Healey - BA (Hons) PGCE Dip. Coaching MSc MBACP

About Me

I offer person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, play/ children's therapy (under 11s) and personal development coaching in a relaxed and supportive environment.

I work with both short term interventions and long term support depending on your requirements.  I will work alongside you in a non-judgmental, confidential, empathic way which will allow you the time and space to make sense of and face whatever issues you have to enable you to move forward.

How I work
For both therapy and coaching, I work in a ‘person-centred’ way, which is counselling speak for putting you at the centre of the work.  There are no set agendas, and as you are the most important person in the relationship - your hour will be all about you, giving you the head-space to make sense of what is going on in your life.

Being person-centred means that I will not judge you, but rather will enter your world to support you to make choices and changes to your thinking, emotions and actions.  I offer empathy, not sympathy to empower you to gain clarity and growth.

I am based near Walsall Arboretum in a light, relaxing room.  I have disabled access and ample, free parking. I am passionate about the power of nature to support healing and also offer outdoors therapy/ ecopsychology.

Availability and Fees
I currently work Tuesday daytime; Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings; and Saturday mornings.  My sessions cost £40 per hour (evening/weekend) and £30 (daytime) with concessions available, including a non-paying eco therapy slot per week.

I work either face to face in my practice room; side by side outdoors; or on Skype. I also offer email and telephone support for coaching clients (please contact me for more information).

With my corporate/ school clients, I work either out of my practice or your organisation, depending on specific requirements.  I also offer training workshops and meeting facilitation.

Further information

Sessions last for 50 minutes to an hour, usually weekly.

I offer a free, initial 30 minute session where we can discuss how we might work together, what challenges you wish to work on, and answer any questions you have.

There is absolutely no obligation to return for a full session, as we may not be suited to each other, and it is important that you find a therapist/ coach who you feel you would be able to work with to gain the most out of the sessions.  Here we could discuss our ‘contract’ – our agreement to how we will work together.
