Dr Katie Williams BSc Hons. DClinPsy. CPsychol. AFBPsS
I am a Clinical Psychologist and have worked within NHS settings since 2001. I have specialised in working with adults offering psychological interventions to adults experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and relational difficulties. As well as offering services privately, I also work within an NHS organisation providing psychological therapy to individuals, families, groups, in addition to offering complex psychological assessment, team training, staff supervision and consultation both internally and externally.
I have received extensive training in a range of psychological models. I would describe myself as an integrative therapist which means I use multiple therapeutic approaches in my practice, including, CBT, schema therapy, compassion focused approaches, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, EMDR and mindfulness. Using a range of models to inform my practice means that I am able to tailor the support that I offer to the needs of the individual whilst also considering evidence based practice.
Ultimately, I strive to offer a non-judgemental and compassionate approach considering a persons needs both collaboratively and holistically.
I offer evening appointments in Monmouth.
