Katie Ship FdA MBACP
As a counsellor, my role is to provide you with a confidential opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a warm, open and non-judgemental environment. My training enables me to draw on different ways of working in order to suit your own personal style and needs.
I am a Humanistic counsellor and I work in a person-centred way also using transactional analysis and solution focused brief therapy where applicable. I provide face to face, one to one counselling for adults.
I am a member of the BACP and am bound by the BACP Ethical Framework which can be viewed here
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified in 2008 and have practiced counselling mostly with adults with a wide range of emotional and mild mental health issues. My experience consists of working in a GP surgery and for various charitable organisations including Young People’s Information, Steps Counselling and more recently for Parent Time, working with single parents.
FdA Counselling (Integrated Humanistic),
Certificate in Solution Focused Brief Practice,
NCFE Certificate Levels 1,2 & 3 in Counselling Skills and Theory.
MBACP – Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

Our initial consultation is £20 and will last around 30 minutes.
Subsequent sessions will be 50 minutes long and are charged at £50 per session.
