Katie Rose, MBCAP, Dip. Counselling (Post Graduate)
Counselling can make a big difference when you encounter challenges in life. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) I offer a caring, non-judgmental and confidential space for my clients to explore whatever may be troubling them.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am experienced in working with teenagers and adults, helping with many issues including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, anger, low self-esteem, sexuality, eating disorders, abuse, and trauma.
I tailor my approach to each client, depending on their particular needs and preferences, and together we can identify goals and work towards them. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am a member of the BACP accredited register. I trained within an NHS Trust partnership, and work integratively, incorporating Person Centred Counselling, the Psychodynamic approach and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, all within the BACP ethical framework.
Areas of counselling I deal with
- Domestic violence
- Eating disorders
- Low self-confidence
- Low self-esteem
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- Pregnancy and birth
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long, and I offer a competitive rate of £35 per session. After an initial contact by e-mail or phone we can arrange an appointment at a time to suit you. The first session is an opportunity for us to meet and get to know each other. It will be a space for you to ask any questions you may have about me or the counselling process and to talk about what brings you to counselling. At the end of this session we should have a good idea as to whether we want to work together and continue with further sessions.
I work as part of Breathing Space Kent, in a pleasant counselling room in Rochester, where we also have access to a sensory room.
If you would like to enquire further, please either email me, telephone, or visit the Breathing Space Kent website: www.breathingspacekent.co.uk
