About me
Hello, I provide counselling for individuals, and those in relationships. This maybe your first experience of counselling or you may have sought help in the past. Whatever your situation, counselling can often be the first step towards change, understanding and emotional wellbeing. Your first session is FREE with no obligation to continue.
I offer you the opportunity to talk and to explore any puzzles and concerns that may be affecting you, I am committed to providing effective counselling and psychotherapy in a safe and supportive environment, free from judgement and expectation.
Whether you have something pressing you wish to explore or you are looking for more balance in your life, we can talk about what is important to you in a safe and confidential environment, using approaches and techniques that can adapt to your needs.
The relationship between the counsellor and the client is very important. Our first meeting is free, giving us the opportunity to decide whether the space I offer is appropriate to your needs. I work integratively, which means I work with flexibility, drawing on different theories and techniques which helps to meet the individual needs of clients.
I can offer both short term and longer term counselling. Your requirements can be talked through in more detail at our first meeting.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.
All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My work is professionally supervised and I am covered by insurance.
I have a private and discreet consulting room in Fairwarp, close to Uckfield, Forest Row and the surrounding West Kent and East Sussex area.
Appointments for individuals are usually held weekly at the same time and day at a mutually convenient time. For couples, weekly or fortnightly appointments are available, depending on your circumstances.
I can offer day time and evening appointments.
