Further Information
I have been training within a UKCP affiliated institute and have been offering therapy at a charity based womens centre in addition to my private practice. I have experience working in public sector and charitable organisations and have a background of experience within mental health and social care settings.
I practice from an Integrative Psychotherapeutic stance. Integration involves drawing together different psychotherapeutic approaches and blending them based on certain core principles. These core principles are that the client-therapist relationship is an essential aspect of healing and that our development as children affects how we are now. If aspects of us are not supported as children they do not fully develop and cannot integrate seamlessly into our personality. This is where psychotherapy can help. The approach that I practice is a developmental-relational approach that uses further integration of Psychodynamic and Humanistic Psychology. The central aim of the therapy is to establish a therapeutic relationship which will lead to a corrective emotional relationship.
I understand that choosing the right therapist is a big decision and that you want to ensure that you feel you make the right choice, so please feel free to take a look at my website for more information here
