Whatever is troubling you, therapy provides a confidential space in which you can talk about anything you are facing and the support to work through it, with an effective one to one focus on your individual situation.
My training in Integrative Humanistic Counselling includes approaches such as CBT, person-centred counselling, psychodynamic counselling and Mindfulness techniques. This enables me to draw on a wide range of skills to work effectively and responsively to your unique situation. The counselling sessions are space and time for you, with you and your needs at the centre of the process.
The work we do together may be short term on a specific issue, or you may wish to undergo a longer and deeper process of self-exploration and self-development. Whatever you wish to address in therapy can be explored sensitively, intelligently and respectfully, with warmth and responsiveness.
There may be many reasons you are seeking therapy now and although it may be daunting to begin the process, talking therapy brings many potential benefits. As your counsellor I can support you to:
manage anxiety and live life with more ease and confidence
explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour
understand your reactions
speak out what you need to express
feel heard and understood
see the patterns of your life more clearly
manage emotions that feel overwhelming
make choices about what you want
make changes you want to make
work through relationship issues
understand and build relationships
improve communication with others
be more assertive
see how your past experiences affect you now
let go of past hurts
learn from mistakes and move on, not making the same old mistakes
feel empowered in your life, no more 'why does this always happen to me?'
challenge old ways that are no longer working for you
see new possibilities
build hope, confidence and self-esteem
grow a more compassionate attitude towards yourself
take care of yourself better
discover your full potential
