About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist qualified in Transactional Analysis. I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals from my practice near Grantshouse, 12 miles south of Dunbar and 13 miles north of Berwick-upon-Tweed. I work with issues of anxiety, panic, depression, grief, self-esteem, emotional difficulties, life changes, relationship difficulties, among others. Clients are offered a safe, confidential space within which to work in a quiet country setting on a short or long-term basis dependent on their individual needs. I offer face to face and online therapy or a hybrid mixture of both,  tailored to the individual needs of the client.

  • 18 years in private practice working in Edinburgh and East Lothian
  • CTA (P) Certified Transactional Analyst (psychotherapy specialism)
  • Diploma in Transactional Analysis (TA) Counselling (COSCA accredited)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
