About me

Whether you have major issues to resolve, decisions to make, or feel life circumstances have become challenging, I will offer you a warm, empathic and confidential environment where you can tell your story and begin to identify and understand feelings or behaviours that are causing you concern.Using an integrative approach, tailored to your individual personality and needs, I will work collaboratively with you in exploring issues, setting goals and finding possible solutions for change.

Therapy is not just about talking – when appropriate, creative interventions may be introduced alongside more traditional methods to help you explore that which is often beyond speech.

Issues concerning you may include:

  • abuse
  • grief
  • anger
  • life changing issues
  • anxiety
  • negative thought patterns and behaviours
  • conflicts
  • self esteem
  • depression
  • trauma

If you decide you would like to see me, your first appointment will be an assessment where we will decide if we are going to work together and plan how often we will meet. There is no obligation to enter into counselling, or make further appointments, if you feel it is not for you at this time.

I also offer individual or group clinical supervision.

If you have any questions about me or the therapeutic approach I use, or would like to make an appointment please email me on kathybullows@gmail.com or call 07580 300916.

Training, qualifications & experience

Bachelor Counselling: Diploma Supervision: Diploma Pastoral Care and Counselling: Certificate Drama Therapy

I have been in the counselling field for 15 years working in Australia and UK within both mainstream and marginalised sections of society. Having run my own private practice as well as working for various agencies, I have extensive experience in providing one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy, relationship counselling, group therapy, clinical supervision, public speaking, training and lecturing.

Personally I have experienced the benefits of counselling and, recognising how so many people don’t realise or reach their full potential, my passion is to see people released, healed and empowered to live life well.  I am dedicated to this cause and to offering my clients the highest standards of service and integrity within my practice.

I am a registered member with BACP and a member of ACC and abide by their code of ethics.I have regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development as required by these bodies.
