Kathleen M Davies, Reg. MBACP, Dip.Couns.
I am a person who loves to see positive change in people's lives. I am an integrative counsellor who seeks to give people time and space in an atmosphere of complete empathy and confidentiality.
As human beings, we are all very different and recognising individuality is so important. I provide a safe place to explore feelings and find a light at the end of what can seem like a very dark tunnel.
Seeking help can be frightening and initially seem like a weakness, especially if your belief has always been that it is right to smile, put things in a box and move on, but the box eventually becomes so full that it can't be contained. The result is anxiety and a lack of control. Seeking help as you are doing, is very courageous. It is important to know that you are never alone.
I can help with:
Anxiety Stress Sadness Abuse Work related stress Bereavement Affairs/Betrayals Depression Family Issues Self Esteem Confidence Post-Natal Depression Suicidal Thoughts Self Harm
Sessions are governed by you - whether they be weekly, fortnightly or otherwise and are generally one hour long but nothing is set in stone - we are here to work together. The first session will be dedicated to getting to know each other and to make sure that you feel safe before committing to telling me anything. If you feel comfortable during that session, then we can go on to talk about the issues that you have but if not, that's fine too. We can go through any concerns you may have on the telephone, by email or at that first session so please don't feel worried about asking me anything you need to know.
