Dr. Katherine Baly B.A (Hons) D.Clin.Psy C Psychol
The Old Rectory Clinic
I am a chartered clinical psychologist who has worked in the NHS and charity sectors for the last fifteen years. I am experienced in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression and low mood, and those who are making sense of life changes and losses.
I regularly work with post-traumatic stress and am an Eye Movement and De-sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. I draw on a range of approaches whilst recognising the importance of the relationship between therapist and client. Approaches used include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness-based approaches and EMDR.
I work collaboratively to create a joint understanding of 'why this difficulty, at this time, in this particular person's life', (called a formulation) which helps create an individualised plan for therapy.
My therapy rooms in Iron Acton, South Glos offer easy access from North Bristol and Bath, as well as the nearby towns of Thornbury, Yate, and Chipping Sodbury.
