About me

Sometimes, talking to friends, a partner, or other family members doesn't feel appropriate, helpful or enough.

If you are struggling to cope with anxiety, depression, relationship or work-related problems, I can help. By bringing a combination of counselling and coaching approaches to my practice, I am able to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences, feelings and thoughts and find a path towards living a happier, more fulfilled life.

I firmly believe that you are your own expert. Through a process of collaborative exploration, you will find your own solutions to whatever difficulties have brought you to seek help.   I bring warmth, professionalism and pragmatism to my work, with the primary aim of helping you to achieve the outcome you seek.

Being able to express yourself openly without fear of being judged can be a liberating and reparative experience, enabling you to move forward and feel strong again.

You may have specific goals you are seeking to achieve. I can work with you to develop self-understanding and to explore your options. Whilst acting as your sounding board, I will also ask questions aimed at helping you clarify your thinking, enabling you to progress with confidence and focus.

I have over 15 years combined counselling and coaching experience from working both in private practice and organisations.   I am professionally qualified and an accredited registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Prior to practising as a therapist, I held several board level positions as an HR professional in some of the most successful global technology companies.  In addition to my client work,  I have a commercial and academic research interest around enabling individuals to successfully combine family & professional roles

Location: My practice is located in the heart of Salisbury - a stones throw from the Cathedral.

Contact: Feel free to call or email to arrange an initial session where we can explore what has brought you to seek support, and whether I am the right therapist for you.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
