Specialising in issues around loss, grief, bereavement and anxiety, I am a professional counsellor working in Salisbury, the New Forest and surrounding areas. Things can get difficult in our busy lives - whether it be current stresses and worries or an aspect of your past that troubles you and gets in your way. Counselling can help you to free yourself, move on, or see things clearly. It can be empowering and enable you to make positive changes in your life, clearing the way to becoming who you want to be.
Working from an Existential and Person-Centred perspective we will explore your concerns and difficulties together, helping you to find your way through. You will be accepted, respected and supported. Everyone has their own set of unique reasons for attending counselling and I have experience working with adults with a varied range of issues i.e. bereavement, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, childhood issues, etc... everyone is different...
Counselling for me, is an active process; I actively listen to you and involve myself in your experiences. We gain understanding of them and work through them together. There may be challenges to face and perhaps some long drawn out silences - but something is always happening. There are moments of deep connection, and I feel, that to be trusted enough to bear witness to anothers soul, pain and vulnerability - and to 'metaphorically' hand in hand survey and explore together, finding perspective and a safe way through to a place of understanding, acceptance and empowerment, truly is a great privilege. I look forward to working with you.
Counselling changes lives - get in touch and let's change yours together.
