About me

I am a fully qualified counsellor with twenty years experience of working therapeutically with a broad range of people from all walks of life.

I am trained Integratively, which means I am able to draw upon a range of therapeutic skills and approaches to suit your individual needs. We will work within a safe and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings to develop new ways of coping with life's challenges and begin to experience more happiness and fulfillment in life.

You may have a specific issue you want to bring to counselling such as addiction ar anxiety or maybe you just have a sense that something's not right – or just keep coming up against the same problems in your relationships, with friends, family or people you work with.

I can offer you both short-term or long-term work, and we will decide together and review regularily how the work is going.

Some people I work with, want short-term counselling to tackle a particular problem, for example they may be worried about their alcohol or drug use, if this is the case I am in a good position to assist having worked in drug and alcohol services for many years. I have a deep understanding and extensive experience of working with people to  change and let go of harmful addictive behaviours and this can often be done in a relatively short period of time.

I have provided short-term more structured type counselling/coaching but am also able to move towards a deeper psychodynamic approach should other issues such as trauma and loss emerge during the process and you can be assured that you will be contained through this safely, and only when you are ready.

I offer a low-cost initial consultation, where I can explain how I work and you can ask me any questions you may have. You can then decide whether counselling with me will be helpful for you.
