I am an experienced BACP registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist.
I work with clients on a wide range of issues including anxiety and depression. Working as an Integrative counsellor, means that I work according to the needs of the clients, using psychological theories such as the person centred model, transactional analysis, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy.
I have always believed that everyone is an individual who takes part in the world in their own unique and wonderful way. Our uniqueness is dependent on our experiences and values. But sometimes our experiences can leave us feeling unhappy, isolated, depressed or stuck. Sometimes we simply need to explore and work through an issue in a safe space. I believe that through working with a qualified counsellor, it can help to empower and enable you to work through difficult challenges and develop strategies for change.
Initially I offer a short phone consultation to look at what has brought you to counselling, your expectations and how we might work together.

Sometimes we can feel lonely, stuck or in crisis, depressed or feel as though we are unable to change the situation we are in. Or sometimes we simply want to explore and work through an issue in a safe space. I believe that through working with a professional counsellor it can empower and enable you to work through difficult challenges and develop you to develop strategies for change.
The counselling room is a safe space for you to discuss your issues and feelings. As your counsellor is not a part of the rest of your life and counselling is conducted in strict confidence, you can talk about issues that you may not feel you are able to talk about with the people in your life who are close to you.
What I do
I offer regular weekly 50 minute counselling sessions, in dedicated counselling rooms. The sessions are a space to explore the issue and a chance to explore solutions. I also offer a free initial introduction session, to discuss your expectations and questions as well as a bit about how counselling works. All counselling is conducted in the strictest confidence.
