Profile
I established Time To Talk Counselling over 15 years ago and have a wealth of experience, helping in excess of 1000 people as a counsellor within the NHS and as a private therapist. I use an intergrated approach to my work including CBT where appropriate. I work with couples and individuals and am well respected in my field having been accredited by the British Association Of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I have lectured on counselling courses in Northampton, Kettering, Melton Mowbray and Rutland Colleges as well as being a Supervisor to other trained counsellors. In addition I write on mental health issues for a regional magazine.
My role as a counsellor is not to give advice, but to help clients explore their difficulties and recognise unhelpful patterns of behaviour that may be affecting the way they live their lives.
By providing a supportive, non-judgemental, confidential and safe environment, I aim to help people find their own solutions to their problems and make the necessary changes to enhance their lives.
I deliver counselling sessions from the Studfall Medical Centre in Corby, Northants and from my purpose built therapy room in Langham, near Oakham in Rutland.
