About me

Counselling for depression, anxiety, low self esteem, bereavement, relationship problems and many other issues. I provide individual counselling and I am also a qualified and experienced couples counsellor.

I offer online and face to face counselling.

We are all trying to cope with a changed world at the moment which can lead to feelings of anxiety, stress or just being overwhelmed. Maybe you are just feeling sad and are not sure why. Struggling after the loss of someone close to you or perhaps a relationship has recently ended and you don’t want to burden friends and family with your feelings. I am an experienced Counsellor working with couples on relationship issues and with individuals on stress, anger problems, anxiety, depression, bereavement, low self esteem and many other issues.

I listen with kindness and compassion, while providing space for you to explore your inner feelings. Working together, counselling helps you to untangle your emotions, sort out your worries and take the vital steps toward getting the life you want and the happiness you need. When working with individuals I often combine counselling methods, which may be different for the needs of each unique client.

Give me a call or email me to find out more. If you are unsure about how online counselling works at the moment, I would be very happy to chat about that  with you.

Couples Counselling

In relationship counselling there can be many factors. You may have been hurt by infidelity or other betrayals. You might keep having the same arguments with your partner, round and around. I work with you to determine what you want out of your partnership, the issues and patterns that hold you back or are at the heart of disagreements and we look at how to move forward into the future.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
