I have gained seven years of experience working as a Counsellor, after making a career change in 2009.  I would say I have worked with most of the issues that people choose Counselling for. I work with individuals and EAP's. I can offer you a non-judgemental and confidential place to talk working from my private practice in Hook, Hampshire. I am trained in providing time-limited, short-term work and open-ended work. In my view, it is always your choice to come for Counselling and for how long. I can also provide Online therapy via Video Skype. Please feel free to contact me for a chat to find out how I may be able to help you. I also welcome meeting you to help you to find out anything you would like to know, whether you decide to work with me or not. I am based near the centre of Hook in Hampshire and I am within walking distance of the train station.

I have appointments available throughout the day.

'Counselling is a way of helping people through talking and listening.  The client is encouraged to express their feelings and thoughts about their problems so they can understand themselves and their behaviour better and therefore improve ways of coping.'

The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Choosing the right counsellor and psychotherapist can be a daunting task. Research evidence indicates that the most important factor in ensuring the best outcome for a client is the quality of the therapeutic relationship with the Counsellor and feeling as though they have connected with him or her.  I know from my own experience as a client that the quality of the relationship I have with my therapist is what enables me to do the work I need to do. So, it is important that you feel you are able to trust your Counsellor and to feel safe enough to share things that you may never have talked about before.

You probably won't know at the outset how long you need and what the work will be about. The only thing you may be certain of is that you want things to change.
