About me

I can help you to improve the quality of your life.

All behaviour serves a purpose. Sometimes, however, our behaviours do not create the best outcomes for us and can cause us to feel anxious, depressed, unsatisfied or to have difficulties in our relationships, work, school and life. Using an integrated approach, I can help to free you from behavioural patterns that are no longer serving you well and help you make positive change for the future.

I offer a safe, warm, empathic and non-judgmental environment in which you can explore your personal circumstances and draw on your own wealth of internal and external resources to heal, problem-solve and develop.

For chuldren and young adults, I offer sessions outside with horses to facilitiate expression and communication.

For further information, please contact me on 07497 679477 (Please use WhatsApp), or email me at: karen@bridgecp.co.uk.

The Journey

In addition to traditional counselling, I offer The Journey. This globally recognized and critically acclaimed healing and transformational process, pioneered by Brandon Bays, has released hundreds of thousands of people world-wide from blocked emotions and trapped cell memories, releasing conditions as varied as anxiety, depression, physical illness, trauma, low self-esteem, phobias, unwanted behaviours, pain, relationship difficulties and career limitations, allowing them to live more freely and to their potential.

This approach uses guided introspection to enable clients to strip away layers of emotions that have been stored in their bodies over the years, causing both emotional and physical blocks. These sessions are longer than traditional counselling, but clients typically require fewer sessions. I provide Journey work for children and adults.

Journey work is offered via Zoom.

About Karen
I completed a BSc(Hons) in Psychology in 2001, using this within organisations, helping business to get the best from their employees and helping employees to get the best from their working environment. After 22 years within business, I decided to formalise my counselling skills. I was introduced to The Journey in 2015 and am currently a coach on the global Journey Method Online programme, including Out Of The Blue - freedom from the real cause of depression.

I have done voluntary work with children (through Place2Be and Blythe House) and adults (Blythe House) alongside my private practice.

Adults:

This is the best money I have ever spent (21 year old male)

I feel so much release after the session on Wednesday, it's taken me a few days to take it all on board and be more in touch with my emotions. My worries have settled and my constant tension and knots in my stomach have gone. I feel so much better, and very much appreciate the 'Journey', my old self is coming back to life once again. (41 year old male)

I want to live my life and see what's out there. My partner has seen a huge difference in me since I started having Journey work! (43 year old male)

It takes a special kind of person to guide another individual through what can be traumatic and upsetting moments. The counsellor/client relationship is so important, right from the start. I struck gold on that one. I feel that I have turned a gentle corner and am now settling back into my own, renewed, skin. (39 year old female)

I feel better equipped to navigate whatever comes my way. (Female)

I wish I had seen someone like you 40 years ago. I would have had a very different life and would have saved the NHS a lot of money.

I appreciate everything you have done for me. You helped me when I really needed it. I wouldn't have been able to get through the challenging times without your help. Thank you so much! (33 year old female)

Thank you so much for all your help and support. I am enjoying my life far more now. (43 year old female)

From the outset I had confidence that you were actively listening to me. I particularly valued your questions, which helped me to think differently and helped me to resolve issues. Thank you. (60 year old male)

I really valued being able to reflect openly, cry openly and get empathy and understanding of my feelings. A tremendous help. Thanks Karen. (82 year old male)

Children and teenagers:

Our sessions have made an amazing difference to my happiness. (11 year old female)

I feel amazingly better. It’s fun when I come and it’s OK when Mum and Dad go out for the evening now. (10 year old male)

We went through 12 months of limbo. The service you provide is invaluable and I really don’t know where we would have been if we had not come to you. (Mum of 10 year old male)

After my Dad died, I couldn't contain my emotions and I lashed out at family, friends and teachers. You have helped me to use mt feelings constructively. I am happier and am doing so much better at school. (13 year old female)

It has been so helpful having someone outside of my family and friends to talk to. Sometimes I feel different from everyone else but I'm learning to be more comfortable in myself. (15 year old female)
