About me

Hello and a very warm welcome to my profile. I am a HCPC and BACP registered counsellor based in Birmingham. I have over 18 years experience supporting families in need and offer telephone, Skype and face to face therapy to individuals, couples, families, and organisations.

I work in an integrative way tailoring the support I offer to meet my clients needs and have training in:
Person Centered Therapy, (NLP) Neuro Linguistic Programming, (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnosis, Quantum Healing Energy and Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT). When working with children and adolescents I incorporate sandplay and story telling as techniques.

As a professional therapist I aim to provide:

  • A safe space where your voice will be heard and not judged
  • A compassionate and confidential atmosphere to discuss personal concerns.
  • Specialized therapeutic assistance to those who are encountering adjustment problems or who are experiencing psychological and emotional distress.

In my experience it is often our close personal relationships that cause us the most heartache. Living with families can be the most beautiful or challenging thing in the world depending on our individual situations. It is often troubled relationships with ourselves and others that lead us to seeking therapy.

There are many issues that impact on our daily lives and can make things harder to manage. These could be anxiety about work, financial issues, difficult friendships, or simply because we are feeling low in mood and are in need of some personal care and attention. Whatever your reasons are, don’t be afraid to ask for help and support.

To get started all you need to do is contact me via email using this site or directly on kam@talkwellcounselling.org or via text/phone on 07447 879459. No issue is too big or small, and I welcome any questions you may have about the process.

I specialise in supporting children and families; in particular those with anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I can help separated families, and public sector workers in stressful jobs such as teachers, social workers, nurses and other public facing professionals.
