Sometimes when you are struggling to deal with things this can make you feel anxious and unhappy and unable to move on with your life - you may also feel that talking to your best friend, family member or work colleague isn't right for you - it is at times like this that that counselling can help you.
Counselling can offer you a safe, confidential space where you can talk through any issues you are dealing with and explore different ways of moving forward with your life.
When seeking counselling it is important that you chose a counsellor who is right for you as the counselling relationship is an important part of your therapy and can make a significant difference to your counselling experience. To help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you and whether counselling will give you the support you need I offer a free (no obligation) 30 minute initial appointment.
I have worked with many individuals with issues such as:
- anxiety/generalised anxiety
- low self esteem
- work related stress
- health issues/ trauma
- relationship issues
- bereavement and loss
- and those who are simply finding life difficult to deal with at the moment and are struggling to move forward

- Eating disorders
- Low self-confidence

- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Other areas of counselling I deal with
Health Trauma - I am particularly interested in helping clients who are experiencing life changing/limiting health diagnosis and who are struggling to deal with the emotional/psychological trauma this type of diagnosis may leave you with. Sometimes it is difficult to talk about your diagnosis and the fears (....the ones that don't seem to make sense to you and the ones that do....) that you may have for the future with your closest family/friends. I can help support you to while you come to terms with the reality of your diagnosis at this difficult time.
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Cognitive and behavioural therapies
- Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
I offer a free initial 30 minute session to provide you with the opportunity to consider if counselling is right for you and can offer you the support you need or indeed I can direct you to other support if this is more appropriate.
Counselling sessions last 50 minutes and are £35 per session
Student/reduced rates available by discussion
