I work with adults and young people with a wide range of issues, privately and as a volunteer. Depression, anxiety, life changing events, childhood difficulties, anger, stress, loss, bereavement and self-esteem are just a few of the issues. I work one-to-one and face-to face, both long and short term.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework code of ethics.
I was trained integratively which means I am able to draw on different theoretical approaches depending on the presenting issues. The approaches I use are person-centred/humanistic, psychodynamic and CBT.
Diploma in Integrative Counselling at Interpsyche, Dartford - NHS based course.
Certificate in Counselling Skills with CPCAB, Kent Adult Education
My experience covers a wide range of issues over differing time periods:
NHS with adults of all ages and backgrounds in GP surgeries.
Young adults and teenagers in a college environment providing face to face therapy.
Adults in a private setting.
