Hello. I offer Individual psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy plus supervision and psychotherapy groups.
My training has extended alongside my practice for over 20 years and I have a wide experience of helping clients work through entrenched patterns or traumatic experiences to reach more resourceful and hopeful places in their lives.
Psychodynamic therapy can have a beneficial effect on close relationships as well as many other issues.
With the help of a therapist alongside, much that has become overwhelming on your own , can begin to change.
This is because it can help address both conflicts within ourselves as well as with others .
In therapy it is possible to gain greater insight and for this to influence how we are with others.
This can begin to bring about real and lasting changes towards more fulfilled ways of living.
I also able to provide supervision for therapists who would like to apply psychodynamic concepts to understanding the often complex dynamics which can arise in their work. This may be provided by telephone or Skype.

Joining a Weekly Therapy group has been found to be effective because it provide the opportunity to interact with others in the therapy environment.
Therapy Groups can;
Help you realise you are not alone in your thoughts and feelings.
Provide the opportunity to recognise some helpful similarities and differences with others.
Allow you to gain insight into how you are seen by others.
Enable patterns of interaction within the group to come to light so that you can begin to change those which are no longer helpful to you.
Allow you to build your self-confidence through helping and being helped by others.
In order to explore whether a therapy group is right for you and ,if so ,to prepare you to get the most from the group, it is usual for us to meet at least twice prior to starting in the group. A new group will be starting in Aberystwyth and there are some low fee places if needed.
My fee for an initial appointment is £35.,
The ongoing weekly fee is £41 however if this is more than you can afford ,please say.
There are one or two subsidised places from time to time.
There are also group places and low fee places may be agreed if needed.
I work in Aberystwyth and have a small number of appointments also in Bristol , so please say which area you live in when you contact me.
