Profile
I am delighted you have found your way to my profile. My name is Julie and I am a BACP registered counsellor. This means you can have peace of mind knowing that I meet the BACP standards for a competent and ethical practitioner.
I provide a safe, calm and supportive environment in which you can explore your emotions, realise your potential and start to feel more optimistic about the future.
I began my counselling career in 2003 when I worked as part of a small specialist team for an online service that provides support and guidance for young people aged 16-25. In 2008 I went on to train as a play therapist with the Place2be, (a school based counselling service) where I worked with primary school children who had emotional and behavioural issues.
I have also worked for Path Therapy who provide counselling for GP referrals.
I am currently working on a sessional basis for the Continuum Group, who provide residential care and family support services. I have worked with a number of young people with extreme and challenging behavour. Some of the issues I have worked with include alcohol and substance abuse, self harm, suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, anger management and bereavement.
BENEFITS OF COUNSELLING:
A greater sense of emotional well-being

Improved personal relationships
