I am an experienced, qualified and accredited psychotherapist and counsellor who offers a warm, empathic approach. I know that life can be very difficult at times. Maybe you are feeling anxious, depressed or just not comfortable in your own skin. Or maybe you are aware that life is not going the way you would like it to. Whether you have a specific problem you want to work on or a more general unease with yourself or your life I offer a safe, empathic, non-judgemental space where you can be fully heard and acknowledged and we can work together on your problems.
I offer both short term counselling where we would focus on a specific problem or longer term, psychotherapy that explores the deeper, more unconscious patterns that may be making life difficult.
In an initial session there will be space to talk about what brings you to therapy and I will ask some questions. From there you will decide whether it feels right and comfortable for you to continue for more sessions. Together, and at your pace we will explore what's happening now and in the past and begin to see where patterns or habits may be holding you back in life or causing you to repeatedly get the same outcome that is not helpful.
I work integratively so can use a range of modalities including psychodynamic, humanistic, person centred and existential. At times I work creatively using art, bodywork, visualisations and dream work if those options feel right for you.
