Offers counselling, psychotherapy hypnotherapy life coaching and training for a wide variety of psychological and emotional issues.
I am a qualified and accredited Hypno-psychotherapist. As a therapist I have a firm belief in a person’s capacity to change. From the whole of my experience both personally and professionally I sincerely believe that all of us, no matter how old or how long we’ve had a problem CAN CHANGE. How do I know that? Because a). I’ve seen it happen so many times and b). I have gone through that process myself and reaped the rewards.
Through our sessions I can teach you skills to help you cope better with life’s ups and downs. Who shows us how to cope when everything seems to be going wrong? The advice usually goes along the lines of “just get over it” or “think positive”. Not much use are they?
Through learning skills to change negative thinking, we can learn to weather the storm effectively rather than hoping these things will just go away.
Having studied psychology to post graduate level, I can help you understand and cope better with your emotions. Only by understanding ourselves can we truly understand others.

I graduated in 1993 in Psychology and since then I have achieved a Diploma in Hypnopsychotherapy and a MA in Social Science. I have been in private practice since 2001.
My work has been extremely varied over the years and as such has brought me into contact with people with many different needs and problems. If your specific problem isnt listed then please contact me for further information
I have previously worked for a Trauma Consultancy and Employee Assistance Provider supporting employees and customers from many large companies including British Airways, Exel, Thomas Cook and Virgin Trains amongst others.
I am an approved therapist for Holistic Resources (part of Rossendale Enterprise Anchor Ltd - REAL) I have prevously run psycho-educational groups in Burnley, Nelson Haslignden and Bacup on behalf of Holistic Resources.
I am registered as a full member of the National Register of Hypnopsychotherapists and as a complementary therapist with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. The NRHP are a member organisation of both UKCP and BACP. I am a Member of the British Psychological Society, who are the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK.
As such I follow a strict code of conduct and receive monthly supervision to ensure my practices comply with the required standards and I carry public liability insurance.

Fees
Sessions are charged at a standard rate of £45 for individuals and £60 for couples (for a 1.5 hour session).
Fees are payable at the end of each session by cash or cheque. Payments are by invoice for company/agency schemes etc. and are payable within 28 days.

Monday - Friday 9am-8pm Saturday 9am-1pm. Appointments can be made outside of these time by prior agreement
Due to the high number of email enquiries that I receive I would be grateful if you could contact me during office hours only. I cannot guarentee to respond to emails received outside of these hours.
