Thank-you for taking the time to read my profile.
If you are struggling to come to terms with yours or a partners illness, a death, feeling overwhelmed and struggling with life, relationships, or family, and feel you need support, someone to listen, then counselling maybe for you.
Who am I ?
I am a professionally trained Integrative Humanistic counsellor, who is comfortable working and communicating with people from all backgrounds. My theoretical orientation predominantly integrates Person-Centered (PC) and Gestalt perspectives into a cohesive approach, although I do draw on and embrace some existential concepts.
I acknowledge that all clients are unique and that no-one single approach is sufficient, so by incorporating, fusing, connecting and integrating principles from each of these modalities in my therapeutic approach along with my personality and strengths, each session is individual.
Sessions I always work with you as the focus, you are the expert on yourself, even if you don't believe it, therefore sessions are determined by you and whatever you choose to bring, I have no agenda.
I offer unconditional, empathic, non-judgemental, emotional l support, in a safe, confidential environment.
"Which therapist do I choose?"
All of the jargon and different expertise offered makes choosing very difficult, especially when the reason you are probably seeking therapy is due to a stressful time in your life.
I offer a free introductory telephone appointment, to hopefully help your decision. This gives me the opportunity to ask you questions to see if counselling is the right avenue of support for you, and you the chance to ask me any questions. There is no obligation to proceed with therapy, as it is a personal journey and you need to feel comfortable.
