I believe that everyone has the ability to reach their own unique, full potential and lead a fulfilling life in a way that is right for them. In todays’ modern stressful world, it is quite natural for individuals to need the help of a counsellor, and it is therefore my role to help you to make sense of your situation and to give you back control of your life.
Counselling can empower and enable you to find your potential and to overcome whatever obstacles are holding you back or making you feel stuck. Having previously worked as a senior manager in industry and now retrained as a counsellor, I feel I have a detailed understanding of the types of situations that may require my help to work through.
I am an experienced and qualified Person-Centred counsellor, having qualified from the University of Nottingham with a First Class Degree in Humanistic Counselling. I work from an integrative approach to support each client in the best possible way for each individual. I have experience counselling a wide range of issues, with a background specialising in trauma and abuse. As well as my own private counselling practice, I work for a counselling agency in Nottingham.
I am a registered therapist and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I am on the BACP's register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists. Further information on the BACP Register can be found at www.bacpregister.co.uk
I offer both short and long term counselling, with reduced fees for student counsellors. I also work with businesses for EAP provision
