Julia Kenney Regd MBACP (Accred) & UKRCP
Hello, I am an experienced Regd BACP Accred, Psychodynamic Counsellor / Psychotherapist, with a private practice based in the Bedford area easily accessible by road with plenty of parking.
I offer both Short and Long Term counselling based on individual requirements with day or evening appointments.
Why counselling and how can I help?
There are times in our lives when we may feel we are struggling. Life is often stressful and pressured. Perhaps from time to time not coping very well with low or sad or angry and confused feelings. How you may have recognised the past affecting your present relationships. This could be personal relationships or wider family relationships including with children or perhaps difficulties at work and social life. Or it could be that right now you are going through a crisis.
You may or may not know, why you are feeling the way you do and are struggling to make changes that could help. It can sometimes be difficult to share these thoughts and feelings with those close to us, as perhaps you are worried about burdening, worrying, creating conflicts or judgements.
Counselling offers a neutral space to explore these difficulties in a safe and confidential environment.
Working together to make sense of what is happening for you.
My experience includes working with adults with a wide range of issues including, general counselling, depression, anxiety, generalised anxiety, stress, family issues, childhood issues, postnatal depression, relationship difficulties, separation and divorce, loss, bereavement, low self-esteem, low self confidence and work related problems. I have worked for many years, with individuals in various settings including GP Counselling within Primary Care and also within a counselling centre, family centre as well as my own Private practice. I have worked with individuals of all ages from young people to those who are retired.
