Welcome to MindWell Therapy! Based in Waterloo, London, Julia Hutchinson offers short to medium term counselling and psychotherapy for adults and also for children, young people and families who may be struggling with a range of emotional, behavioural and relationship difficulties.
Life is not always straightforward. Julia works with you to bring positive changes to your life, in your well-being, in your outlook, in your relationships.
- a positive, understanding and non-judgemental approach
- a belief that change is always possible
- therapy with an experienced, qualified and accredited professional
Julia has almost 20 years experience of working therapeutically with adults, and children and young people and their families, within Health, Education and the Voluntary Sector. This has included three years as the Clinical Lead of a Child and Family Counselling Team.
Julia has significant experience of working with the wide range of difficulties that adults struggle with, including depression and anxiety, relationship and family issues, the experience of trauma including abuse and violence, and bereavement, as well those who feel stuck and are wanting something different from their lives. Julia is passionate about the possibility that people can overcome and grow from their experience of trauma. She is EMDR-trained and has been offering this as an approach to adults and children over the last five years.
Julia has worked with children and their families in schools and the community as well as within clinic settings, and loves talking with children, young people and their parents about their best hopes for their lives and relationships, and how to get back-on-track with these. She has experience of working flexibly and creatively with a wide range of problems that children and their families can struggle with.
Julia also offers supervision and training as well as a variety of mindfulness groups for both adults and children across London and in different settings - please see www.mindwelltherapy.co.uk for more details.
Individual and family sessions are available at Waterloo on Tuesdays from 2.30pm to 9.30pm
