I am a fully qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My experience as a counsellor includes teaching counselling within a college setting and working with children and young people in schools, and adults in private practice and the bereavement services. I also work for a national charity managing a counselling service and mentoring qualified and trainee counsellors. My work has provided me with a wealth of experience of different issues that children, young people and adults face.
Counselling can help with issues personal to you, ranging from day to day worries to distressing and traumatic events. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental environment so that you can feel safe to explore any issue that is personal to you. We are all unique and it is my belief that we all have the inner resources to live life in the way that feels right for us. Person-Centred therapy provides the conditions to enable us to become the person we want to be.
I work in private practice offering counselling in my home for individuals aged 16+. I do not have a set number of sessions and will remain with you as long as there are issues to be worked upon. However, I can provide time limited sessions if you prefer.
The quality of the relationship between the counsellor and the client is paramount for therapy to take place, therefore I offer a £15 initial introductory (getting to know each other) session.
