About me
I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Counsellor working in the Nottingham area in my own private practice. I deal with many issues including anxiety, phobias, bereavement, and self-esteem/confidence work. My experience includes working with a variety of individuals from children and young people to adults in various stages of life. In the past, I have worked as a secondary school counsellor and now also run group sessions/courses around the issue of Anxiety, which is a particular interest of mine. In addition to my therapeutic commitments, I am also a Senior Lecturer, teaching trainee hypnotherapy and counselling students to achieve professional qualifications.
Many people are nervous when starting therapy – it can feel like a huge step. My role is to ensure that you feel as comfortable as possible and I am happy to have an initial chat with you by phone or email before arranging to meet up, if you choose to do so. I work in an integrative way, using different therapeutic tools to help you to gain an understanding of the issues you have, helping you to move forward. From our initial conversation onwards, anything that we discuss is entirely confidential whether you choose to continue or not.
I acknowledge that clients often have busy working lives so can offer flexible appointment times to fit around this.
