Judith Locker MBACP (Accredited), MSc Counselling Psycology
I am a person centred counsellor who will accept you non-judgmentally for who you are.
My area of interest is working with people who feel they are alone with their troubles and want an experienced counsellor to help them trawl through the thoughts and feelings that keep them from leading a hopeful life.
Taking time to make sense of what is real and what are repetitive negative thoughts, where they come from and how to approach things differently in the future will open doors to new possibilities.
As an accredited BACP member I adhere to their ethical framework. Our first appointment will be an opportunity to discuss confidentiality, assessment of issues and to contract a way to work together.
I will work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, loss, relationship issues, work, personal issues, adapting to change.
I am a qualified supervisor working with students and qualified counsellors.
I work with Hawkins and Shohet's seven-eyed model and Carroll's tasks of supervision.
