About me

I am a UKCP accredited Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor based close to Clapham Junction Station. I am also a member of BACP. I have 10+ years of experience gained in a variety of clinical settings. I am also a fully qualified trauma therapist and clinical supervisor.

Do you feel that your past is holding you back or have you suffered childhood abuse?
Do you feel stuck and unable to move forward?
Are your relationships unfulfilling, toxic, dysfunctional or abusive?
Do you lack confidence and wish you felt better about yourself?
Are you anxious, stressed or suffering from panic attacks?
Do you feel depressed or down and that life seems to have lost its meaning?

If so, psychotherapy and counselling could help you. Talking to a psychotherapist or counsellor offers you the chance to explore in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space the thoughts and feelings that are troubling you.

I offer an initial free online chat prior to signing up for therapy. This is a chance for you to discuss further your reasons for seeking counselling and for me to address any questions you may have about therapy or my professional practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed five years of professional training at Regent’s University. I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (2006) and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (2010).

I am accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and as such am bound by their ethical framework for good practice. I am also a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have had several years of experience of working with clients with a diverse range of difficulties at Hammersmith and Fulham MIND, Victim Support (Westminster), Wimbledon Guild of Social Welfare and Merton IAPT.

I am trained as an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist which means that I draw on more than one theoretical approach as appropriate in my client work.

I possess a Diploma in Traumatology, (Grove Training, June 2021). This means that I am able to work in a trauma-informed way using a tri-phasic model for PTSD and Complex-PTSD.

I hold a Diploma in Integrative Supervision (Grove Training, December 2019).

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
