In my NHS practice I offered counselling to those who had experienced childhood abuse whilst doing supervised counselling within the TA model (whilst doing my training).
I worked with Open Minds Counselling Service in Doncaster offering generic 1 to 1 counselling.
I continue to work with Survivors (Hull & East Riding) based in Hull operating as a rape and sexual trauma centre for both men and women. What is RELATIONAL ANGER MANAGEMENT -(or EMPATHIC ANGER MANAGEMENT)
(Based on the writing of Sue Parker Hall)
a theory that distinguishes between ANGER (which is seen to be positively necessary for individuation) and RAGE (an un- thinking out of control emotion born out of unresolved trauma(s) .)
The aim of therapy is to resolve and integrate past trauma in the belief that it will dissolve the rage
leaving space for appropriate anger.
